Our goal is to deliver high impact, cost-effective, & culturally competent capacity building programs in Nyalenda Slum and Kisumu, particularly to children, youths, and women.
Specific objectives
l To raise awareness, understanding, and knowledge of HIV/AIDS and other STDs in Nyalenda Slum.
l To provide primary education and training for the disadvantaged adolescents (orphanages) and youth to make them literate and empowered.
l To eliminate gender inequalities in the community by empowering both girls and boys equally.
l To make a campaign of free sanitary pads for the girl child.
Strategy
A workable strategy is formulated to realize the maximum. A need-based and right-based approach instigates the problem with full community participation and assembling of all indigenous and local resources. The program goal is materialized with a helping hand from members, donor agencies, and philanthropists.
Sustainable slum development is a dynamic process posing various needs at different phases of time. These can be dealt with continuous interventions based on designed frameworks that incorporate the communities' requirements and the organizations' help by strategizing for public-private partnerships.
